The simplest form of all Saiyan forms, the ability to go Oozaru lies within the blood of every Saiyan. With a mere glimpse of a full moon, any normal Saiyan is transformed into a giant ape-like beast with ten times the strength and a whole lot of rage. Freeza's worst nightmare comes true after Goku witness his lifelong friend's death. The SS stage us is triggered by extreme rage and a pure(good or evil)heart. The abilty to become a SS is passed on from any Saiyan parent to a child. What Vegeta thought was SS2 was acrually SS 2nd Grade, which is simply a beefed up SS. Often referred to as Ultra SS, SS 3rd Grade is only perfomed by Trunks as he powers up to Battle Cell. Unfortunately, this is a very slow-oving SS form. Simply put, a Full Power SS can maintain his form for a prolonged periods with little or no exertion. He is able to maintain the strength of SS 3rd Grade with out sacraficing speed. It shows a complete mastery of the form

This "Super Saiyan beyond Super Saiyan" is first reveled during the Cell Game. An Anime only flashback reveals that Gohan actually went SS2 for a brief instant while in the room of Spirit and Time. The Mystic Saiyan form is amysterious one indeed. It allows a person to surpass the strength of SS2 yet a Mystic Saiyan has no noticeable differences over a normal Saiyans form This Saiyan form is first performed, much to the suprise of Babidi, as Goku shows off various forms of the SS stages for the sorcer. It very much resembles a devolution of a Saiyan into a Neanderthal state. This Form is so powerful that only Goku and the fused body of Gotenks can handle it. Saiyan power at its rawest. Golden Oozaru is pure uncontrolled rage with just a dash of universe shattering power thrown in for good measure. With out a doubt the strongest Ss form of them all, SS4 is prevalent throughout DBGT. SS4 is essentially a compressed and controlled version of Golden Oozaru, making any Saiyan obtaning this form one powerful being
